We believe that Christ has instituted three offices in the church: minister of the Word, elder, and deacon. At Grace United Reformed Church, we are blessed to have the following men serve us in these offices.
Rev. Brian Cochran
Minister of the Word
Pastor Brian has been serving Grace URC Torrance since September 1, 2024. He was ordained as a Minister of the Word in the URCNA on March 12, 2010. Prior to serving at GURC he served Redeemer Reformation Church in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada from 2010-2024. He holds a BA in Bible-Theology from Moody Bible Institute and an MDiv from Westminster Seminary California.
He was born and raised in Torrance and did not grow up in Reformed churches but in a large evangelical church. He became interested in Reformed theology, however, through the writings of R.C. Sproul, J.I. Packer and others, and through “The White Horse Inn” radio program. He has a passion to preach the gospel, teach theology and help people grow in their relationship with Christ. Brian and his wife Julie were married in 2005, and have five children.
Rev. Drew Admiraal
Associate Minister of the Word
Drew has been serving at Grace URC Torrance since March, 2024. He holds BA in International Business from the University of Cincinnati and an MDiv from Westminster Seminary California. Drew is originally from Cincinnati and has been married to Megan since 2018. Together, they have two children.
